Essential oils have been something I've been wanting to try for awhile now, which is why I was happy to review the Simply Earth Essential Oils Recipe Box. The box was perfect for someone using essential oils for the first time. It came with a recipe booklet to make six different simple recipes.
I absolutely enjoy the recipe box I received from Simply Earth. My recipe box came with coconut oil, citric acid, string, beads, Easter eggs, clay, fabric and the following essential oil scents: coffee, citrus burst, ginger, and spearmint. It also included six recipes that were easy to follow.
Diffuser NecklaceMy daughter loves crafts and anything handmade, so she was thrilled to help make some of the recipes in the box, including this adorable diffuser necklace that uses ginger and citrus burst essential oils.
For this recipe, we used the clay, beads, and string to make the necklace. We used our small heart cookie cutter we had at home to make the pendant shape out of the clay. We let the clay dry for two days before adding the essential oils and stringing the beads.
Flannel Hand WarmersNext, we made the heart hand warmer, which is perfect for the winter season as it grows colder. This recipe required us to use the fabric that came with the recipe box. It also called for the coffee essential oil and a large heart cookie cutter and rice that was not included. It did require simple sewing, which luckily, I could handle!
Ta-da! I think it came out adorable and I love that it uses the coffee essential oil. The scent smells cozy and makes you feel more alert with the smell of caffeine! You just throw it in the microwave for 20-30 seconds before using.
Digest Roll OnAdditionally, we made the digest roll on that helps ease stomach pains. I was excited to try this recipe because my family ended up getting sick this season and it had our stomachs not feeling so well. I wanted to keep this on hand for next time our stomachs needed some soothing.
This recipe called for the ginger, spearmint and coconut oil. You simply combine them together in the roll on bottle the box came with and start using it.
We're excited to make the bath balms next, which uses the Easter eggs as molds.
About Simply EarthI love the story behind the roots of how Simply Earth's company started. It began with two brothers from Wisconsin who both had a dream of owning their own business. They asked each other how they would build a business of integrity? The answer: "By starting a company that advocates for the voiceless, empowers employees, and allows buyers to change the world."
Simply Earth isn't just a company that offers essential oils. They donate 13% of their profits toward organizations that would change the world, such as organizations that fight human trafficking, which is becoming an increasing problem in our world. Therefore, each time you make a purchase through Simply Earth to benefit your well-being and your home, you'll know that your money is also going toward helping others!
