Baker's Cousin Delivered to Your Door

Written by, Bernadyn Nettles

The fall, winter, and holiday season encourages many of us to do more baking in our kitchen and to use the season's tasty ingredients like pumpkins and apples to bake up some delicious dishes. I am a huge fan of fall recipes and apples are one of my kids' favorite fruits, meaning they actually eat it! In October, our family had the delightful chance to try Baker's Cousin. Apples was October's theme for Baker's Cousin's baking challenge. I was excited to receive my box from them to see what apple-filled goodies were waiting for us to dig into. We were not disappointed!

Thank you to Baker's Cousin for the complimentary box I received. All opinions are my own.

I love receiving packages in the mail and this time, my sweet tooth was in love, too! I had to fight off the kids when we first opened this particular package because they wanted to try all the desserts before I had a chance to snap photos. Luckily, I captured some shots before my kids devoured all of these treats!

Before I get ahead of myself with how satisfying these apple-themed recipes were, let me introduce you to Baker's Cousin if you're not familiar with them.

About Baker's Cousin

Baker's Cousin is the first online community of bakers and for anyone who enjoys eating baked goods. Baker's Cousin hosts a themed baking challenge every month for bakers to submit their recipes. Anyone can submit recipes for the baking challenge that is posted the first Monday of every month. Each challenge is hosted and judged by culinary experts. One week will be open to submit your recipe after the new baking theme is announced.

After the week closes for submission, the judges work on tasting and analyzing each recipe. Then, the top 20 finalists are chosen. Afterward, it's the people's voice that counts! Anyone can vote for which baked goods she would like to see win. The top three winning recipes are made, along with a baked good from the host, and sent out to all the subscribers, called, "Tasters."

Each dish is wrapped and placed in these adorable different-colored boxes. After all, visually-appealing packaging are always a bonus!

Look how cute these little boxes are that contains each winning recipe!

The recipe cards with photos of the recipe are also included for the Tasters to be able to create the dishes themselves.

I thought the small silver spoon that comes with it adds that extra special touch and it came in handy to scoop out each and every one of these tasty treats.

I think Baker's Cousin is such a creative and unique concept. It's an excellent way to challenge yourself as a baker to submit your best recipe that goes along with the theme for that month. It's a wonderful way for the tasters to try something new every month once the winners are chosen, not to mention how convenient it is since it the baked goods are delivered right to their door.

This would make for a perfect gift idea to send to loved ones who enjoy baked goods especially if they are not bakers themselves.
