Honoring Veterans at On the Border

Written by, Bernadyn Nettles

Next Friday, November 11, 2016, is Veteran's Day. It has become one of my favorite days out of the year ever since I was in my high school's Air Force Junior Reserved Officer Training Corps program (AFJROTC). Each year on Veteran's Day, our drill team would march in our city's Veteran's Day Parade. I was proud to represent my school's team because I knew it was our small and humble way to show thanks to those brave men and women who upheld our country's freedom. This year, On the Border is showing their appreciation to those who served by serving them a free meal at any participating On the Border.

Mexican Food, Military, Free Meal

Veteran's Day Appreciation at On the Border

On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina®, the nation's largest casual dining Mexican restaurant, is saying thank you for our freedom to the men and women who made it possible by giving our military VIP treatment on November 11th. Any veterans or active duty military personnel with a valid military ID or proof of service can receive a free meal (no purchase required), from open to close next Friday.

They can choose from a free Combo 2 or 3 plate from On the Border classics, such as empanadas or flautas, enchiladas, soup or salad, or tacos.

There are more than 150 possible meal combinations available through the Create Your Own Combo offering. Each combo also includes Mexican rice and your choice of beans. Of course, the complimentary endless tortilla chips and house-made salsa will also be served all day.

 Mmmm...that sounds good to me!
