Healthy Homemade Banana Chia Popsicles

Healthy Summer Treats

It is already June 15th, the second week of my son's summer vacation.  The official start of summer has not yet began but the hot weather and all the fun summer activities are in full swing.  To keep cool, I have been making more summer treats that require no baking like these banana popsicles mixed with Chia seeds.  They are organic Chia seeds from Foods Alive that I won in a giveaway along with a whole collection of healthy goodness from their line.  I decided to give the Chia seeds a try with these banana popsicles.  One of the recipes they suggested to use them with were pudding.  I'll have to try that one soon, too.  These popsicles with Chia seeds came out delicious!  This is a great recipe to stay cool and healthy while keeping your sweet tooth satisfied this summer.

How to Make Banana Chia Popsicles

I love how tasty but also healthy and quick these cold treats are to make!  My daughter loved them, too so they are a great snack or treat for the kids on a hot day.  They also come out nice and creamy, tasting similar to banana ice cream.

2 ripe bananas
1/4 - 1/2 cup Chia seeds

Peel bananas and place in blender.  Add in Chia seeds and blend well.
Pour into popsicle molds and freeze for several hours until firm.

What are some cold summer treats you have been making?

Happy popsicle-making!
