Bring On Some Pineapple Angel Food Cake

Pineapple Angel Food Cake

It is strawberry season and my family has been eating it with practically all our desserts, salads and breakfast!  We can't help it, they are delicious!  Recently, we baked up a new recipe (new to us, at least), that my hubby told me about: crushed canned pineapple and angel food cake mix combined together.  I had to try it and of course, topped it with some fresh strawberries!  Next time, we're going to throw in the strawberries instead of pineapple but for now... here is the recipe for this Pineapple Angel Food Cake...

What You Need:

Angel Food Cake mix and a can of crushed pineapple in its juice.

It took about 15 minutes for the batter to bake in this jar.

These baby jars and medium-size mason jar are great to serve the cake in for parties or to bring for lunch.

The recipe was tasty and light, not overwhelming at all.  You will get carried away eating more than one serving!

We put whip cream on the cupcakes.  If making these for a party, don't add whip cream or cool whip until right before serving because when you refrigerate them, the cool whip and whip cream will shrink up.  Just FYI, for those that do not know!

...and strawberry with cool whip!

This is a nice dessert to have during the warm months that are approaching.  I know we'll be making more soon!
