Independence Day is a time to show our pride and to join in festivities together, a holiday I actually look forward to every year. It’s a holiday where you don’t have to be stressed, doesn’t require giving nor receiving gifts, lots of firework shows to enjoy and I especially love it because we don’t have to travel from house to house visiting one relative after another. That gets exhausting as a parent with little ones!
This holiday only requires us as Americans to remember our service men and women, to appreciate what they have done for us and what they continue to do so that we may enjoy having barbecues, attending events, concerts and watching firework shows that celebrate our freedom. So, while you are celebrating the holiday, keep the true meaning of this day in mind and hold it dear in your hearts and pass it on to your children.

Ready to celebrate 4th of July
As my son, Brody, says after his evening prayers: “With love and a heart and Iron Man…no, Captain America.” Yes, this weekend, it’s “With love and a heart and Captain America” to fit in well for Independence Day.
What are your plans for the 4th of July? Are you a fan of fireworks?
Take care and see you next week,
