Last Minute Super Bowl Recipes

Written by, Bernadyn Nettles

It's almost time for the big game, you know the one - Super Bowl 50! It's all going down on Sunday, February 7th.  Will you be watching?  I've never been a huge football fan, although, I do enjoy tailgating and attending our team's home games when I can.  Last year, my little boy became a huge sports fan, including football as his top sports he is interested in; he began playing it with friends, wants to join a local team, and collects football cards.  His enthusiasm for the game encouraged me to learn more about it and to even throw around the ball together at the park.  I've become more enthusiastic about the upcoming super bowl because of him, leading me to think about food.  A big part of watching the super bowl is eating! Since I'm hunting down some recipes to possibly make for my family on Sunday, I'm sharing them here for anyone else who needs some last minute football food ideas, too.

Valentine's Candle Reusing Broken Crayons {Printable Tags}

Written by, Bernadyn Nettles

Valentine's Day will be here soon.  For those who celebrate this holiday, and anyone who has a bunch of broken crayons laying around, I'm re-sharing this DIY idea for a creative gift you can make to give to someone special for Valentine's Day or to use for yourself.  We used to have an abundance of broken crayons in our home when our kids were younger.  I hated to see them just get thrown out, however, so I found some craft ideas to create with them: Bake them together to make a larger crayon, and melt them down to make candles.  Both projects are an easy, fun way to recycle those broken crayons that you may think have become useless.  I'm sharing the tutorial on how to make the candle today along with a few free Valentine's Day tags you can use to add that extra touch.

Kids' Candor Bilingual Educational Kits

Written by, Bernadyn Nettles

As parents, we are our children's first teachers.  Children begin learning from day one, so it is important to interact with them and be proactive in nurturing their physical, social, emotional and cognitive skills.  Also, learning another language in today's world can help kids embrace diversity, as well as pave their way to more successful careers and overall, lead them to be more well-rounded individuals.  The learning program, Kids' Candor, understands the importance of diversity and educating our kids to be bilingual.  I was curious to try out one of their educational kits for my preschool-age daughter and I'm excited to share it with you!

Wedding Anniversary Quotes and Printables

Written by, Bernadyn Nettles

I'm a day late (no, not that way!), but I had too much going on yesterday and didn't get a chance to plan this post ahead of time so I'm sharing it now - my husband and I celebrated our ninth wedding anniversary yesterday!  Although, we have two children together and we have been together for all these years, it still feels unreal at times that we have actually been married for almost a decade.  I know this is nothing compared to those couples who have grown old together and been married for more than 20, 30, or even 40 years.  We're still learning a lot about marriage everyday and will probably still feel clueless when we reach our 25th anniversary.  We definitely have our ups and downs in our marriage!  Last year, I shared some of my views on marriage in 5 Marriage Lessons and Free Marriage Quote Printables.  Today, I'm sharing a few more marriage quotes and a couple of videos you might enjoy.

Keep Track of Your Child's Items with Label Daddy

Written by, Bernadyn Nettles

A few months ago, I had the chance to share the brand, Label Daddy when I reviewed their Small All Purpose Labels in this post .  Those labels were personalized for my son.  I had the opportunity once again to review their great products, but this time, I ordered labels for my daughter.  She was a little jealous after she saw her brother's name labels and now she is happy to receive labels of her own.  She immediately opened up the package and placed stickers on her books, toys, pencils and even dolls!
