DIY Fall Banner Wreath {#TBC Craft Hop}

Written by, Bernadyn Nettles

Have you decorated your home for the autumn season?  We don't have much fall home decor up right  now but we have been making fall DIY craft projects.  I have mentioned before that I have a love for wreaths.  They are fun to create as I prefer DIY homemade wreaths but also, I think they are  an easy way to transition to the current season.  That is why for this month's #TBC Crafters Craft Hop, I am sharing a simple fall-themed wreath that is easy to make yourself and does not take much time.  It is actually one that I started last year for Christmas and did not use.  I decided to change it up to match the fall season.  I hope this inspires you to make one for your home, too!

Legoland FL Review & Travel Tips: Part 1

Written by, Bernadyn Nettles

Does your child enjoy Lego toys?  My kids love playing with them especially Lego Star Wars and the Chima collection.  Therefore, we have been wanting to take them to Legoland near us in Orlando, Florida this year.  We finally visited the theme park a couple weekends ago.  It was perfect since my sister, nephew and parents were able to go, too.  Here are a few photos and travel tips I'm sharing with you if you decide to go, as well.  This is Part 1 of our trip since there are plenty more photos and tips to share with you all from our experience.

Halloween Children's Books Under $5

Written by, Bernadyn Nettles

Hello October! As this month rolls along, it will bring crisper fall weather, opening of pumpkin patches and lastly, Halloween.  Halloween can be a fun time for young children as they dress up in their costumes and grab some sweet, spooky treats. Another fun way to celebrate Halloween is by reading Halloween-themed books.  They are a great way to introduce Halloween to small children or to make the fun last all month long.  Below is a list of a few Halloween story books for younger kids.  They include popular characters and titles like Winnie the Pooh, Clifford the Big Red Dog, Angelina Ballerina, Dora, Arthur and more.  These books can be found at where they sell used, previously loved ;) books.  The best part is they are all under $5!

Birthday Letter to My 4 Year Old Daughter

Written by, Bernadyn Nettles

I write a letter every year to my kids on their birthday.  I'm writing one today for my daughter who turned four. My son recently began reading all the ones I wrote for him by himself.  In a couple years, my daughter will finally be able to read the ones I wrote to her all on her own, as well.  I will be so happy when that day comes but that will mean she won't be so little anymore. Here's to another birthday, my little girl!

Fall Candy Corn Fruit Cocktail

Written by, Bernadyn Nettles

It's time for fall recipes!  I have been making a couple recipes and went on a hunt for a few more simple, easy to make recipes that are kid-friendly for snacks or maybe for a fall gathering.  One that I love and my kids recently enjoyed is this healthy, candy corn-inspired fruit cocktail.  Candy corn is a popular candy during this fall season.  The color combination is well-known and screams autumn.  If you haven't tried this already, I suggest making this easy cocktail either for your kids or just to indulge yourself.  I originally made it to include in a roundup of fall recipes published at Jacksonville Moms Blog.
