Personalized Children's Books {Giveaway}

Written by, Bernadyn Nettles

Unique Keepsake Books for Kids

August is almost here and for many students, that means back to school!  My youngest is now of preschool age and although I would love to keep her from growing (most of the time), I know that she is developing and learning more every day.  One of the ways we love to encourage her growth is through books which we all know play an important role in children's development.  A wonderful book publisher, I See Me! creates personalized children's books that are unique to each child the book is ordered for and has an amazing way of making each child feel special.  When my preschooler received her books in the mail, she was thrilled to see her name printed in them.  She fell in love with the story book, activity book and stickers that were all personalized just for her.  I'm sure many of you also have a special little one in your life who would love a copy of his or her own book.  I'm happy to share the giveaway below for your chance to win one!

Maven Women's Healthcare Mobile App

Convenient Women's Health App

How many times have you had a question about an ailment or a medical concern that you did not think required a visit to the doctor or emergency room?  I remember when I was pregnant, I had several questions the whole pregnancy and now as a mom, when my kids are not feeling well, I have questions but am not always sure if a physical doctor's visit is necessary. I do know that reaching out to "Doctor Google" is not the best idea either! Fortunately, I know am not the only one who feels this way.  I believe many of my fellow moms and women in general feel the same and that is why I am happy to share this new app called, Maven, that makes it easily accessible for you to reach healthcare professionals without leaving home.

Tips for Living with a Threenager

Written by, Bernadyn Nettles

Good-bye, Terrible Two's.  Hello, Threenager!

My daughter is a little teenager.  She is three but half the time I feel like I'm dealing with a thirteen year old.  Why didn't anyone warn me about this?  I was constantly warned about the terrible two's and the meltdowns and tantrums.  I was warned about the teen years coming fast and furious.  They're here, alright but ten years too soon.  She definitely got there fast.  She can get furious, that's for sure!  After telling people about my three year old, I mean, threenager, that's when they speak up and agree that three's can be more challenging for us parents than terrible two's.  Why didn't they speak up sooner?  I'm here to warn you now: BEWARE of the Year of the THREENAGER!

DIY Burlap Summer Wreath {#TBCCrafters}

Easy Summer Wreath Craft

One of the things I love about wreaths is that it is a quick decoration fix for a plain door or wall.  Another thing I like about wreaths is that they can be a fast, creative project with young kids.  It has been a busy summer around here with us in the process of moving and spending more time with my kids because of summer break.  We have not had much time for actual craft projects since we have been hanging out outdoors.  We worked on this wreath, however, because my kids saw these birds and butterfly decorations at the Dollar Tree and were excited to use them. It was fast to make and we used some burlap ribbon we already had at home.  It turned out to be a simple but colorful summer wreath to hang in our home and the kids were proud to help while getting their craft on!

Summer Lovin’ Date Ideas

  Oh, Those Summer Nights

These summer days have been long while simultaneously feeling short.  I have my children with me at home for the summer and juggling both kids while trying to keep up with work can be exhausting.  It has been fun, however; we have been bonding and keeping busy with outdoor activities, watching summer movies at the theater, visiting the book store and library.  We are also preparing to move, adding to the chaos and time consumption to our summer.  That is why I am thankful for guest posts from friends to keep things fresh around the site while I handle affairs at home.  Today, I'm happy to have a good friend of mine share a post with us.  She is offering some sweet summer date ideas for couples with a touch of Grease nostalgia (one of my favorite movies)!
