Birthday Blessings: 10 Things I'm Grateful For and Giveaway

Written by, Bernadyn Nettles

I've been talking about how much I love October, it's my favorite month and one of those reasons is because my birthday falls during this month!  I celebrated it a few weeks ago and I didn't get a chance to post this so I wanted to do that before the month is out.  I think birthdays are blessings and for me, every year when I can celebrate another one, it doesn't matter what I do for my birthday because I consider it a blessing as long as I am alive to do it!  I pray that I have many more to come and to be able to celebrate it with my family and friends.  I listed ten things that I am grateful for on my birthday even though there are thousands of things I'm grateful for but I think that's a bit too long for here!

Black and Teal Halloween Pumpkin Crafts with WW Linky Party

Halloween Pumpkin Crafts

Crafts, Arts, Fall Activities

Are you ready for Halloween?  There's more pumpkin decorating going on here as we are getting ready for Halloween!  Since my daughter and I recently had a "Frozen/Breakfast at Tiffany's" style birthday party, we had this teal colored blue paint left over (and the decorations from the party are still up) so we decided to paint some pumpkins teal, too!  Black went well for a more Halloween-theme and of course, she loves sprinkles so that was also part of the decorating.  The last week of October means that this is my last week co-hosting Wordless Wednesday for Oh My Heartsie Girl I invite you to party with us before the week is over!

Beautiful Christmas Trees at King of Christmas and Giveaway

Memories by the Christmas Tree

Some of my fondest Christmas memories are from my childhood when my family would sit around the Christmas tree on Christmas Eve after we returned home from midnight mass.  Our mom made homemade soup, there was Christmas music playing in the background and the lights on our Christmas tree lit up the room.  We sat around the tree and opened our presents early since the next day we would have to rush off to visit friends and relatives.  I cherish these memories and hope to make the same for my own family.  These are also the magical memories King Of Christmas wishes for each of its customers by providing beautiful, quality Christmas trees.  This year, you have a chance to win one through their giveaway below!

#AskAwayFriday with Ana at Our Blended Marriage

Written by, Bernadyn Nettles

Happy Friday, everyone!  It's time for another Ask Away Friday, something I look forward to blogging every week!  If you aren't familiar with it, it's when two bloggers exchange a set of 10 questions with one another and answer the questions on their own blog.  It's a fun way to connect and get to know one another.  Often, too, I learn more about myself with the insigtful questions I get asked. :)  This week, I had the pleasure of swapping questions with Ana from Our Blended Marriage.

Halloween Activities for Young Children When Trick or Treating May Not Be An Option

 Written by, Bernadyn Nettles

To Trick or Treat...or Not?

Spooky decorations, gory masks and scary costumes that contribute to the creepy setting as darkness takes over on Halloween night...

These are some of the reasons that many people are thrilled to celebrate Halloween.  These are also some reasons others are not so thrilled to celebrate especially parents with young children.  It is a tradition to dress up and go door-to-door trick or treating around the neighborhood to collect treats while admiring everyone's costumes and house decorations.  Trick or treating is not for everyone, however.  In the article link included below, you will find some fun ideas you can still do with kids who may be too young to trick or treat or for families that would rather find other ways to celebrate  Halloween.
